The modern A7 motorway takes us south-west, passing the town of Elche on to the A36 towards Alcoy. The Journey from the airport has taken us around 45 minutes.
Alcoy is a small city, you can find many services and facilities such as bus and train station, police office, university, hospital, hotels, hostels, cinemas, etc. we can also enjoy the advantages of a small city, like safety, clean environment, and low life cost.
The city is in the heart of the Font Roja natural park, and we are little more than 30 minutes away from Alicante’s beaches. With a temperate climate, we can enjoy many sunny days even during the winter.
Each year Alcoy hosts the fiesta of the Moors and Christians which commemorates the battle of Alcoy in 1275 when St George helped defeat the Moorish forces. This is one of Spain's greatest festivals, taking place from 21st to 24th of April, accommodation during the festival is very difficult to find.
The preparations for this important 4 day festival are evident all year round, as the locals work together planning, preparing costumes and fund raising.
During the festival 28 armies re-enact battle. Fireworks, noise, colour and fun are abound as the Christian and Moorish armies march around the streets accompanied by a big band of horns and drums playing medieval martial music. The city is decorated with the St Georges red cross flag from every balcony. There are men, women and children wearing theatrical leather and metal amour, carrying swords and spears. People are mostly dressed as warriors but there are also farmers, gunsmiths and dancers .
The ALCOY APARTMENTS are located close to the town hall and central to the activities of the annual fiesta. The development will consist of only 14 apartments and the style of construction will be in line with the city centres traditional architecture. Completion of the development is expected in approximately 18 months. At such excellent prices, they are sure to sell out fast.

To reserve your apartment you will need to Pay a HOLDING DEPOSIT of 3.005 € (approx £2,058). Plus a Handling Charge of 730€ (approx £500).
2 weeks later you will need to pay the following:
REPAYMENTS approx £235 per month (No Mortgage repayments necessary until the Title Deeds are signed and you take possession of your apartment).
All prices are in euros, the sterling equivalent is a guide only and the exchange rate used has been based on the last year’s history.
The Mortgage:An mortgage will be available - subject to status. Proof of income will be required. e.g. A P60 if you are employed or last year’s Tax Return for self-employed persons.
Extra to purchase price:You will need to budget for an extra 12% to 15% in addition to the purchase price to cover Spanish VAT at 7%, Notarial, Property Registration fees and bank charges for arranging the mortgage. There is no charge for legal services as provided by recommended lawyers. Legal services are included in the agency fees.
LegalitiesWe will offer all clients the services of our panel of bilingual lawyers in Spain who will assist with the completion of the purchase. Services available will include translation of the final purchase contract and accepting Power of Attorney from clients who do not wish to be present in Morocco on completion. The lawyers are specialists in conveyancing of overseas property. Please note that there is no charge for legal services as provided by recommended lawyers. All legal fees are included in the Agency Fees.
